Key Responsibilities- Perform non-judgmental technical duties under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring accurate and efficient preparation of drug orders.
- Verify computerized patient medication records and maintain accurate, complete patient drug records.
- Compound non-sterile pharmaceuticals and provide services in a timely and efficient manner.
- Issue controlled substances to patient care areas and maintain records as required by law and institutional policies.
- Verify daily activities of the department and record them accurately.
- Maintain competency required for current job title/position and current technician license.
- Attend staff meetings and complete all competency/skills assessment requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement and medication use review activities of the department.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Pharmacy experience preferred.
- Registered Pharmacy technician in the State of practice required.
- Certified pharmacy technician preferred.
