Job Summary:
As a Pharmacy Technician I Certified at Christus Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional pharmacy services to our patients. Under the direction of Clinical Pharmacists, you will work collaboratively to ensure safe, effective, and efficient drug therapies. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will make a significant impact on our patients' care.
Responsibilities:
- Meet the expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Prepare drug orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Verify computerized patient medication records accurately and maintain accurate, complete patient drug records.
- Compound non-sterile pharmaceuticals and provide services efficiently and in a timely fashion.
- Issue controlled substances to patient care areas and maintain records as required by law and institutional policies.
- Verify the daily activities of the department are complete and recorded.
- Maintain competency required for current job title/position and current technician license.
- Attend staff meetings and complete all competency/skills assessment requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement and medication use review activities of the department.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Pharmacy experience preferred.
- Registered Pharmacy technician in the State of practice required.
- Certified pharmacy technician preferred.
