Service Manager Job Description

Mercedes-Benz of Loveland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to lead our Service Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of our Service Department, while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of quality in all aspects of our service operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Forecasts and achieves departmental goals and objectives.
  • Hires, trains, and develops a high-performing team of service advisors and technicians.
  • Develops and implements a marketing plan to promote new and repeat business.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
  • Directs and schedules the activities of all department employees.
  • Monitors and follows up on parts orders and repair orders to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers, vendors, and other departments.
  • Ensures that all customers are greeted promptly and given fair estimates on costs and time required for repairs and maintenance.
  • Handles customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Service Advisor and 5 years of experience as a Service Manager or Service Director, preferably with Mercedes-Benz.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Valid Colorado Driver's license and MVR acceptable to our insurance carrier.
