Job Description

As a contract Special Education Teacher with TX-STAR, you will work closely with students who require specialized instruction and support. Your role will involve implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning needs.

You will be responsible for designing and adapting instructional materials and methods to promote academic, social, and emotional growth among your students. This may involve utilizing assistive technologies and resources to enhance engagement and facilitate learning.

Your daily tasks will include direct instruction, assessment, and monitoring of student progress. You will also need to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting students.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
