Role Overview:

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) plays a crucial role in delivering various therapeutic interventions to patients who are recovering from injuries or managing disabilities. This position involves executing treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with patients and their families to educate them on the use of therapeutic equipment, home exercise routines, and essential care techniques for post-discharge recovery.
  • Implement treatment protocols for assigned patients, which may include modality treatments, therapeutic exercises, hydrotherapy, gait training, and wound care.
  • Document patient responses to treatments and track progress within the patient care plan, ensuring that daily and weekly notes are accurately recorded in the medical records.
  • Provide guidance and technical oversight to Physical Therapy Assistant students, technicians, and aides in executing patient care tasks.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess an Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program and hold a current license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of employment. Additionally, candidates should have current auto liability insurance in accordance with company policy.
