Position Overview:

At Rehab America, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of our patients through effective rehabilitation services. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering therapeutic interventions to individuals recovering from injuries or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement various physical therapy treatments as outlined in the care plan developed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Engage with patients and their families, educating them on the use of therapeutic equipment, home exercise programs, and essential techniques for ongoing care post-discharge.
  • Administer treatment regimens to assigned patients, which may include modality treatments, therapeutic exercises, hydrotherapy, gait training, and wound care.
  • Document patient responses to treatment and progress in their medical records, ensuring that daily and weekly notes are accurately maintained.
  • Provide guidance and technical direction to Physical Therapy Assistant students, technicians, and attendants in executing patient care tasks.
Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • An Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • A current license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of employment.
  • Auto liability insurance that meets company policy requirements.
