Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Neurodevelopment Specialist to join our interdisciplinary team at the University of Rochester. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing specialty care to children with developmental disabilities and a strong background in neurodevelopment and behavioral pediatrics.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to children with complex disabilities in a busy outpatient clinical setting
  • Assess developmental status, health, and behavioral conditions, and develop treatment plans
  • Order testing and treat health and behavioral conditions
  • Participate in care coordination, oversight of RN phone management, and research protocols
  • Participate in the education of learners (students and new employees) using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing, and skill training
Qualifications
  • Master's degree (or pending) as a Nurse Practitioner or completion (or pending) of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program
  • Active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing and active/pending New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing
  • Current/pending national certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness, and customer relations skills
