Stratum LIFE Receptionist Job Description

Stratum LIFE PACE, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a skilled receptionist to join our team. As a receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to participants, caregivers, visitors, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greets participants and visitors in a courteous, polite, and helpful manner, directing them to the appropriate locations within the center.
  • Provides superior customer service, handling all telephone calls in a professional and efficient manner using proper telephone etiquette and established protocols.
  • Maintains the dignity of participants and their caregivers, ensuring discretion and HIPPA compliance with all interactions.
  • Assures readiness of the reception work area each day, ensuring all related activities are fully operational at the start of business.
  • Signs vendors and visitors in and out using established procedures.
  • Communicates with the day center staff when arrivals and departures of participants are needed from the lobby.
  • Participates in ongoing training and educational classes.
  • Responsible for opening and closing procedures of the front lobby.
  • Contributes to problem-solving and cooperates with identified resolutions.
  • Responds to emergency calls according to established procedures.
  • Cross-trains to provide coverage to other administrative roles, including Care Team Assistant, HIM Technician, and others as needed.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in an administrative or office role, with experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and means of transportation.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to create spreadsheets, letters, and tables independently.
  • Data entry and database management using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems or equivalent systems.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks at once with positive results.
  • Demonstrates high-quality communication skills.
  • Able to work positively in a diverse and stressful environment.
