Position: VDOT Financial Analyst 4 - AMD

Type of Employment: Contract

Location: Hybrid position based in Richmond, VA.

Interview Process: Webcam interviews only.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize extensive knowledge of computer software and applications, particularly Microsoft 365, including advanced Excel functionalities such as pivot tables and complex spreadsheets.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and forecasting, leveraging a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to a diverse range of stakeholders, including professionals, vendors, team members, and executive staff.
  • Possess a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial management, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Implement performance metrics and measurement strategies to enhance financial accountability, ideally with 3 years of experience in this area.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Commonwealth of VA financial practices and possess applied experience, preferably for at least 1 year.
  • Experience with the Cardinal Financial system is highly desirable, with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Additional Information:

This role involves supporting the fiscal, budgetary, and accounting functions for AMD. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and coordinating the development and execution of fiscal operations, processes, policies, and procedures. The analyst will assist in the preparation of the annual budget and review statewide expenditure data. Monthly expense analysis and support for executive decision-making will also be key components of this position.

Successful candidates will exhibit strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and MS Word, effective communication abilities, and a self-motivated approach to tasks. The role requires a commitment to identifying performance improvement opportunities and providing high-quality service to both internal and external customers.
