Job Title: Contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Desoto, TX

Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time, Contract

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential speech therapy services to students in a school setting. As a Contracted Speech-Language Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Identify speech and language disorders in students and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their needs.
  • Provide Direct Therapy Services: Deliver speech therapy services to students in a school setting, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaborate with Professionals: Work with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills and promote a collaborative learning environment.
  • Document Student Progress: Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and treatment sessions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree: A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
  • Valid State License: A valid Louisiana state license or eligibility for licensure is necessary.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to Work Independently: The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team is necessary.
