Responsibilities:- Conduct Oral Inspections: Perform thorough oral inspections of patients' teeth and gums, identifying signs of oral disease and developing effective treatment plans.
- Provide Preventative Care: Remove calculus, plaque, and stains from teeth, applying sealants, fluoride, and other preventative materials as needed to promote optimal oral health.
- Education and Support: Educate patients on proper dental hygiene techniques, providing personalized guidance and support to help them maintain good oral health.
- Diagnostic Imaging: Take and develop dental x-rays to check for problems and assess patients' medical history and dental records to determine a treatment plan.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with dentists on complex procedures, providing assistance and support as needed, and maintain open communication with patients and colleagues to ensure seamless care.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of dental and oral health treatments and procedures, adhering to all safety and sanitation protocols.
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active license to practice dental hygiene in our state.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in dental hygiene, with a proven track record of providing exceptional patient care.
- Skills: Excellent oral communication skills, ability to stand for extended periods, and detail-oriented with knowledge of dental terminology and tools.
- Certifications: CPR certification is a plus.
