The ideal candidate will possess a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree, an active state license to practice dentistry, and 5+ years of experience as a licensed dentist. You will excel in patient education and counsel, developing personalized treatment plans addressing the unique needs and risk factors of each individual seeking care.
Responsibilities will include examining teeth, gums, and other areas of the oral cavity to assess oral health and determine necessary treatment, diagnosing dental issues, and developing treatment plans. You will also administer anesthetics and sedatives, perform surgical procedures, and educate patients on proper dental hygiene and prevention of oral diseases.
To excel in this role, you must demonstrate mastery of pharmaceutical pain and anxiety control modalities, ensure strict adherence to hazard communication, infection control, and occupational safety regulations, and maintain dental records, including charts, radiographs, and intraoral camera images, and lab reports.
We expect our Dental Care Specialist to continuously expand dental knowledge through education and research, and to possess excellent diagnostic skills and knowledge of oral anatomy and physiology, proficiency with dental equipment, instruments, and procedures, attention to detail, and effective communication skills to educate patients.
