Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at Contra Costa County Health Services. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient observations.
  • Work collaboratively with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in patient care.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and excellent communication skills.
Requirements
  • Current, valid license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse issued by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians, California Department of Consumer Affairs.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or CPR certification issued by the American Red Cross.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
