We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at the Walbec Group. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing civil-structural plans and recommendations for heavy civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review site requirements and collaborate with the engineering team and stakeholders to deliver complete civil-structural plans and/or recommendations.
- Design and engineer concrete, steel, and timber bridges, retaining walls, and earth-retention systems on roadway projects to relevant design and state codes.
- Develop structural plans and details required for project delivery within project schedule constraints.
- Assist in responding to questions from contractors, public agencies, and officials regarding policies, procedures, and practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- 6-15 years of work experience in Structural Engineering.
- PE License is required, SE license is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
- Knowledge of heavy-civil structural theories and principles.
- Prior experience working with computers and related software applications for analysis and design.
