Job Summary:

As a Design Engineer at Wildeck, Inc., you will be responsible for creating plans, details, and fabrication drawings for custom mezzanine products. You will work under the direction of the Drafting Detailing Manager and utilize engineering principles and techniques to manage projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize computer-aided 3D software to perform drafting and detailing tasks.
Work from specifications and product requirements to develop small to medium scale designs.
Make calculations to establish acceptable standards of performance, material selection, and construction type within engineered parameters.
Detail mezzanines with economical use of materials and ease of fabrication and installation.
Prepare orders for manufacturing by providing fabrication and purchasing instructions.
Calculate weights of job and create general arrangement and piece part drawings.
Prepare installation instructions and input BOM and method of manufacturing into ERP system.
Execute revisions and maintain proper documentation for revision levels, files, and notes.
Prepare documents for PE sealing and drive cost savings through continuous improvement throughout the department.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in structural, civil, architectural, mechanical engineering, or related field of study.
Proficiency with 3D modeling software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft software.
Familiar with project management techniques and ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as basic algebraic equations and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry.
Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate proficiently and effectively in English with customers or employees of organization.
