Role Overview


As an Investment Reporting Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of General Account Invested Assets in accordance with applicable Statutory, GAAP, Management, and Tax standards. Your responsibilities will include managing investment disclosures for SEC filings and Statutory reports, such as blue book and green book schedules, footnotes, and general interrogatories.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver precise accounting information on fixed income and various investments to support existing and emerging investment strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and reporting regulations.

• Address discrepancies and respond to inquiries regarding General Account Invested Assets from portfolio management and multiple asset managers.

• Facilitate an efficient operation within your designated area by identifying potential risks, investigating technical investment accounting matters, and collecting all necessary data. Communicate identified risks and their financial implications to management.

• Collaborate effectively with team members and key stakeholders across the organization to ensure the accurate and timely completion of the investment accounting process.

• Stay informed about professional and industry trends, contributing positively by suggesting improvements and acquiring new skills, processes, and procedures.

• Maintain awareness of current and emerging developments in your areas of responsibility, evaluate their impact, and work with management to integrate new trends into current and future solutions.

Qualifications


• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years of experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree) is required.

• Previous experience in investment accounting or accounting systems is essential.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, securities, or financial reporting directly related to the responsibilities of this role.

• Strong technical knowledge in investment accounting is necessary.

• Proven problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with the capacity to identify appropriate resources and tools to implement solutions.

• Excellent relationship management skills with internal clients (management, peers, and colleagues) and external partners (asset managers, reinsurers, etc.), demonstrating the ability to foster collaborative approaches.

• Ability to identify and propose process improvements.

• Strong organizational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.

• Completion of regulatory and job training requirements is expected.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $65,700 - $118,300. Actual base pay may vary based on non-discriminatory factors, including work experience, education, location, and qualifications. This base pay is one component of Lincoln's total rewards package, which may also include discretionary annual incentives based on company and individual performance, as well as long-term incentives and standard benefits.
