Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on assistance to patients, including assisting with procedures, performing tests, and preparing medications.
  • Act as the first point of contact for patients, providing triaging and medical advice as needed.
  • Coordinate patient care plans and serve as a liaison between healthcare providers, departments, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage patient appointments, testing, and lab results.
  • Assist with obtaining prior authorizations and prepare educational materials for patients.
  • Provide specialized nursing assistance in research efforts and offer consultation services to nursing staff.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in West Virginia or a compact state.
  • Two years of experience as an RN or five years as an LPN.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
  • Certification relevant to the specialized care provided.
Working Environment

This role requires frequent exposure to blood and bodily fluids, with possible exposure to harmful toxins. Regular travel may be necessary to departments with multiple locations.

Physical Requirements

This position demands heavy physical work, requiring strength and stamina for lifting, moving, and positioning patients.
