About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities for our Lower Division students in the After-School Program.
  • Guide students in their social-emotional development, maintaining a safe and supportive environment that fosters positive behavior.
  • Actively engage and interact with students, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
  • Regularly communicate with families, colleagues, and administrators regarding student progress and development.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience teaching, preferably in Early Childhood education.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to providing support to students and families from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Experience integrating technology into classroom teaching and designing daily activities.
  • Classroom management and communication skills are essential.
Physical Requirements
  • The ability to sit and stand for 30-minute periods.
  • The ability to traverse various surfaces and lead students to all areas of the school campus.
  • The ability to position oneself to support students and work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
  • The ability to lift and hold 15 lbs overhead and occasionally transport 25 lbs.
