Compassionate Supervisor for Substance Abuse Counseling Required

Position Summary:

The Counseling Supervisor will oversee the team of Counselors and Counselor Interns delivering treatment and case management services to clients, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and BayMark's policies and procedures. The clinical supervisor will guarantee prompt documentation of client services according to the established care plan. It is essential to recognize the various physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of assigned clients. The supervisor will also be responsible for managing related expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner aligned with the company's budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Counselors and Counselor Interns who provide treatment and case management services to clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and BayMark's policies.
  • Ensure timely documentation of client services based on the care plan.
  • Identify the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of assigned clients.
  • Ensure adherence to all company and funding expectations.
  • Manage related expenditures responsibly in accordance with the company's budget.
  • Travel as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Treatment Center Director.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in the state of West Virginia
  • Candidates should possess supervisory experience with Associate Level counselors and be capable of guiding counselors in developing and updating ASI, PCPs, Crisis Plans, etc.
  • Proficiency in tracking using spreadsheets (Excel, pivot tables, etc.) is required.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance file reviews and peer audits, including CARF requirements, is preferred.
  • Credentialing with Alliance and Cardinal MCOs is preferred.
  • Experience with MCO authorization is advantageous.
  • Candidates should demonstrate patience, empathy towards clients, and effective communication skills with both staff and clients.
  • A satisfactory drug screening and criminal background check are mandatory.
