BayMark Health Services is seeking a part-time Physician to join our team in Morgantown, West Virginia. As a Physician in our addiction treatment program, you will play a critical role in helping patients achieve long-term recovery and improved quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Admit patients for methadone and buprenorphine treatment, ensuring a thorough understanding of their medical history and physical condition.
- Provide medical coverage for the Medical Director during vacations, attendance at addiction meetings, and personal absences, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
- Conduct comprehensive history and physical exams, documenting findings in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Enter orders for methadone dosing in the EMR or write buprenorphine prescriptions, ensuring accurate and timely medication management.
- Monitor patient dosages in conjunction with the Treatment Center Director, Counselors, and Dosing Nurses, ensuring safe and effective treatment.
- Consult on high-risk patients and conduct annual medication reviews, providing expert guidance and support.
- Perform other related duties as determined by the supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the treatment program.
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Addiction Medicine is preferred.
- Addiction Medicine specialty is required.
- Must be licensed in the state of West Virginia or able to obtain license within 90 days.
- Must have a DEA license in West Virginia and be eligible for Medicare participation.
- OBOT patient services opportunity potential with X-Waiver.
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
