Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer

Toyota North America is seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our platform engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a robust and scalable developer platform that enables teams across Toyota Financial Services to deliver high-quality software efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable and automated cloud environments that support DevOps initiatives.
  • Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) to manage infrastructure, ensuring security and scalability.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and deployment.
  • Implement observability tools and ensure adherence to security policies, focusing on disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA).
  • Mentor the cloud engineering team, establishing best practices and technical standards for development and operations.
  • Architect and optimize cloud environments (AWS, Azure) for performance and security.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in platform engineering or DevOps, with 3+ years in a senior role.
  • Strong experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in IaC and building CI/CD pipelines.
  • Programming skills in scripting and programming languages like Python, Go, Bash, or similar for automating infrastructure tasks and tooling.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud security best practices and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
