Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Asphalt Production Operator to join our team at Ergon Asphalt and Emulsions, Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our asphalt production facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Operations: Assist with testing products in the laboratory, input quality specifications and batch data into reports, sample product quality, and load and unload trucks and railcars.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Conduct minor maintenance on equipment in the plant, including pumps, racks, and mixers.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet quality standards and participate in daily production/quality meetings.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Stay current on required training and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Excel, ability to work without supervision, read and follow written instructions, basic math skills, and ability to learn computer skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds with assistance, perform jobs that involve lifting, bending, climbing tanks and other structures, and work outdoors in all seasons.
  • Work Schedule: Ability to work days and hours as scheduled, Monday through Sunday.
