Project Director Role at Turner & Townsend

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Director to join our life sciences team in a leadership capacity. This individual will be responsible for leading a large-scale construction program with a budget of over $500 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing project team responsible for the design, procurement, construction, qualification, hand-over, and close-out of new and upgraded pharmaceutical production facilities, offices, warehouses, and laboratories.
  • Project Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive project execution plan, selecting the project delivery strategy and procurement strategy in accordance with the Project Management Framework.
  • Project Control: Ensure the effective implementation of a project control strategy, including scheduling, cost forecasting, change control management, physical progress/productivity measurement, invoicing, resource management, and document management, all in accordance with the Project Management Framework.
  • Client Management: Manage client expectations and ensure that the client's interests and vision are executed on the project.
  • Quality and Delivery: Be responsible for the quality and delivery of the project.
  • Business Development: Develop new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients and drive the client diversification agenda.
  • Team Management: Provide effective line management for staff members assigned to the project, including coaching and mentoring to assist them in achieving professional and career growth objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale construction projects successfully.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective project execution plans.
  • Strong business development skills.
