Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic IT team at BankTalent HQ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's systems infrastructure with a focus on Azure, Cloud Native Technologies, Networking, Windows Server, and Virtualization technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement Scalable Systems: Design and implement scalable, high-availability system solutions in Azure and on-premises environments.
  • Virtualization Strategies: Develop and oversee virtualization strategies to optimize resource utilization.
  • Network Collaboration: Collaborate with network team to ensure seamless connectivity and network performance.
  • System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure continuous system improvements.
  • Security and Compliance: Participate in the identification and remediation of any security issues/vulnerabilities across the environment and implement repeatable/scalable remediations via automated means where possible.
  • Standard Configuration Frameworks: Contribute to the development and implementation of standard configuration frameworks across technologies in the BankTalent HQ ecosystem.
  • Technology Assessment and Implementation: Design, implement and test new technologies/systems according to defined requirements.
  • System Lifecycle Management: Assess, monitor, and project lifecycle of systems to ensure platforms are running supported/secured versions of software, hardware resources remain under vendor/software support and can support future business objectives.
  • Technology Resource Optimization: Consistently assess the utilization of technology resources to determine areas for improvement/cost reductions by moving workloads to more efficient/cost effective solutions.
  • Documentation and Supportability: Maintain documentation for the purposes of business continuity, supportability, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  • Experience and Knowledge: Minimum 5 years of senior level systems engineering experience in a virtualized Microsoft Windows Environment.
  • Microsoft Infrastructure Technologies: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure technologies including Microsoft Windows Server, IIS, PKI, Group Policy, and Active Directory.
  • Virtualization Technologies: Advanced experience and knowledge working with virtualization technologies such as Nutanix or VMWare.
  • Scripting Languages: Advanced to expert level knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell.
  • Networking Concepts: Moderate to advanced knowledge of networking concepts including Cisco routers, firewalls, switches, and third-party load balancers.
  • Cloud Technologies: Moderate to advanced knowledge of cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Infrastructure as Code and Automation: Preferred experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation technologies such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Cloud Native Technologies: Exposure to cloud native technologies such as Kubernetes, Serverless workloads, CI/CD, and Microservices.
  • Microsoft O365: Nice to have - Experience with Microsoft O365 (Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Intune).
  • SSO Technologies: Intermediate experience with SSO technologies such as SAML, OAuth, and OIDC.
Education and Training
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
  • Senior Level Systems Engineering Experience: 5+ years of senior level systems engineering experience in a virtualized Microsoft Windows Environment.
  • Cloud Professional Exam Certificate: Cloud Professional Exam Certificate(s) such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Preferred Certification: Preferred certification(s) for on-premise technologies such as MCSE, CCNA.
