Lumber Yard Associate

Gillman Home Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lumber Yard Associate to join our team. As a Lumber Yard Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, performing various tasks related to the operation of the lumber yard, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform tasks such as assisting customers with loading and unloading lumber, building loads as needed, operating trucks and equipment, and delivering materials to homes and job sites.
- Ensure accurate inventory management, including checking in freight, conducting routine cycle counts, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and trucks, reporting any defects or repairs to the supervisor.
- Assist in maintaining a safe working environment, identifying and reporting any safety issues or concerns to management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Forklift experience preferred.
