We're seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual to join our team as a Research Scientist at Airable Research Lab. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our commercial partners to develop and customize biobased products, driving innovation and growth in the bio-based marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate innovative ideas and solutions to address clients' product and material needs.
  • Develop and formulate new products with various applications, such as monomers, coatings, polymers, adhesives, surfactants, lubricants, additives, and greases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive solutions and identify opportunities for bio-based solutions.
  • Plan and conduct research activities, reporting on findings both internally and externally.
  • Maintain laboratory records and write reports and research summaries as required.
Requirements:
  • BS or MS in chemistry, polymer science, or chemical engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Polymer synthesis background, including condensation and free radical polymerization.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams, with excellent problem-solving skills and creativity.
  • Broad interests and willingness to take on relatively undefined challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of structure-property relations and materials properties.
  • Ability to design materials to desired properties.
  • Demonstrated innovative accomplishments with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Experience with bio-based materials, bio-based building blocks, and soy-based product development.
