The LPN I is an integral part of the care team and a key contributor to delivering high quality care that is compassionate, consistent and reliable for our patients, families, units and the practices within the UVM Medical Center.
The incumbent provides technical nursing care to patients in varying states of health and illness, under the direction of a provider or RN. This role involves direct patient care, clinical and administrative health care support services to patients and families according to knowledge, ability, and duties assigned.
Candidates are eligible for a one-time signing bonus of up to $7,500 and a relocation package of $9,200.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients. You will be responsible for:
- Providing technical nursing care to patients in various settings
- Conducting vital sign assessments and reporting results to healthcare providers
- Assisting with patient education and discharge planning
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
