Job Summary

We are seeking a Seasonal Maintenance Laborer to join our team at the City of Hamilton, OH. As a Seasonal Maintenance Laborer, you will assist a crew in performing manual work in the maintenance of City streets, buildings, and other facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mow grass, trim, and edge sidewalks and curbs
  • Maintain landscapes and clean up litter
  • Assist in making repairs to streets, signs, guard rails, or other traffic warning devices
  • Assist in street painting by setting traffic cones or other warning devices
  • Perform simple grounds, facilities, and maintenance tasks at city-owned buildings
  • Operate various types of trucks and equipment
Requirements
  • Knowledge of the practices, tools, and materials involved in the performance of semi-skilled tasks
  • Ability to perform semi-skilled tasks without close supervision
  • Ability to perform general labor for extended periods and under unfavorable weather conditions
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
