We are seeking a skilled Production Maintenance Specialist to join our team at EDCOAT LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our coating production process.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance on paint line ovens, high temperature-hot water (HTHW) systems, wastewater treatment, and auxiliary equipment, including inspections, installations, removal, lubrication, cleaning, and related functions.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions and breakdowns.
- Collaboration and Communication: Communicate and work with other maintenance and production personnel to accomplish all maintenance and repair tasks in a timely and safe manner.
- Quality Assurance: Review and inspect any repairs or modifications made to equipment performed by others.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely written records to communicate maintenance and repair activities to other shifts and the Maintenance Manager.
- Compliance: Send source documents to the front office to comply with State and Federal recordkeeping.
- Specialized Tasks: Perform roll grinding to eliminate defects in paint rolls, implement preventative maintenance schedules on all EDCOAT LLC equipment and systems, run wastewater treatment operations, and perform housekeeping duties as necessary.
- Support Functions: Assist in packaging of finished product as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Positive Energy and Urgency: Operate with a sense of positive energy and urgency.
- Teamwork and Autonomy: Ability to work effectively in both a team and autonomous environment.
- Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Pre-Employment Requirements: Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Experience: 3-5 years previous maintenance experience required, with previous experience in manufacturing processes and equipment repair.
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
- Lifting and Mobility: The ability to lift (from floor to waist level), push, and pull 75 pounds.
- Standing and Walking: The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time on concrete surfaces with regular periods of stooping, bending, or sitting.
