Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Purple Cow Recruiting. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing projects, supporting your team, and delivering high-quality services in solid waste engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Conduct stability, settlement, and seepage analysis for solid waste facilities. Design surface water systems, leachate collection, and grading for disposal facilities.
  • Field and Lab Investigation: Coordinate field and lab investigations to assess solid waste facilities.
  • Project Management: Manage project tasks, ensure timely completion, and respond to client needs. Prepare proposals and interact with clients effectively.
  • Technical Reporting: Oversee and prepare detailed technical reports.
  • Communication: Communicate clearly with clients, regulatory agencies, and colleagues.
  • Collaboration: Work on interdisciplinary projects within civil engineering.
  • Professional Development: Commit to continuous learning and growth, gaining insights from senior staff.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Geotechnical engineering; Master's degree is highly preferred.
  • At least 2-10 years of relevant experience with geotechnical projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MS Word, and Excel.
  • EIT or P.E. registration.
  • Solid written and oral communication skills to include proposal writing and reporting.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly and willingness to take on diverse challenges.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel out of town.
