Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled High Bay Refrigeration Specialist to join our team at the J.R. Simplot Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all boiler equipment in our plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on boiler equipment, including mechanical components, to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Maintain effective communication with team members and other support groups to ensure seamless collaboration and operational goals are met.
  • Safety and Quality: Maintain Company standards for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation, and GMPs, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Equipment Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment issues in the boiler and refrigeration systems, utilizing technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding tasks for repair and fabrication as required, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular preventative maintenance on boiler, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment to prevent equipment failure and ensure optimal performance.
  • System Monitoring and Testing: Monitor and test system operation using gauges and instruments, ensuring accurate readings and identifying potential issues.
  • Alarm Response and Control System Management: Respond to alarms and manage control system interfaces, ensuring prompt action and minimizing downtime.
  • Leak Testing and Water Analysis: Test lines, components, and connections for leaks, and perform boiler feed water, condensate, and cooling tower water analysis to maintain desirable results.
  • Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) Monitoring: Monitor the RTO system, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • System Maintenance and Repair: Perform maintenance and repair tasks on various systems, including fryer and dryer exhaust systems, compressed air systems, domestic water, hot water, air handlers, glycol systems, and cleaning chemical distribution systems.
  • DAFT Maintenance: Maintain the Dissolved Air Flotation (DAFT) system, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), with five plus years of related experience and/or training.
  • Technical Skills: Good knowledge of computer systems and other technology, including MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Certifications: Must obtain CIRO certification within 1 year, and 2 years' experience or recognized boiler safety training. Must also obtain and maintain annual Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) certification, First Aid and CPR Certification, and Forklift Certification.
Work Environment

The work environment for this position will involve working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to mechanical equipment, refrigerated and frozen environments, and moderate to loud noise levels.
