Job Overview

SunGlo Restoration Services is seeking a highly skilled Drought Damage Mitigation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for mitigating property damage caused by excess water at both commercial and residential job sites.

About the Job

We offer a competitive salary of $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and evaluate daily work orders to prioritize mitigation efforts
  • Beginto close mitigation projects, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction
  • Communicate work progress with property owners and project teams through regular updates and reports
  • Operate specialized equipment, including truck mounts and drying equipment, to mitigate water damage
  • Document progress at job sites using photos and daily update sheets, as well as complete reports as necessary
  • Clean carpet and upholstery, contents, and structural components
  • Perform mold removal and other specialized services
  • Demo damaged property using hand tools, following safety protocols
  • Debris cleanup, power washing, and installation of insulation, belly boards, drywall, and other materials as specified
  • Landscape duties, including stump removal, and install roof tarps as needed
  • Animal waste cleanup and trauma scene cleanup
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including trucks and equipment
Requirements:
  • No experience required, but prior restoration experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and communicate professionally with customers and employees
  • Mathematical skills, including calculation of proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, as well as basic algebra and geometry
  • Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables
  • Valid Driver License and/or ability to obtain Chauffeur License, Department of Transportation medical card
Work Environment:

Frequently requires work in wet, humid conditions, extreme heat, and extreme cold. Occasional work in high, precarious places, with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and moving mechanical parts. Moderate noise present both in warehouse and at job sites.
