Job Summary:

As a Commercial Journeyman Framing Carpenter with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you will support carpentry contractors throughout Madison, TN, and surrounding areas. Responsibilities:

Work with metal and wood framing
Use hand or electric tools to fabricate, cut, and install framework
Read and understand blueprints and drawings
Help place and secure wood during the building process
Be confident in framing, measuring, trim work, and finishing work
Install drop ceilings and commercial doors
Perform wood blocking

Qualifications:

Five years of framing commercial carpentry experience
Strong scheduling and blueprint reading skills, as well as knowledge of metal stud/wood framing, material management, metal doors, hardware install, drywall, trim, cabinets/counter tops, suspended grid, tile install, etc.
Reliable transportation to and from job sites daily
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the fly
OSHA 10 preferred, with PeopleReady providing OSHA training
Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds to load and unload wood and other materials, as well as carry needed tools and materials to and from the job site
Work all required days and hours, with flexibility on start time
Possess tools of the trade
