Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Coordinator will support and report to the Quality Assurance Lead Coordinator, managing daily responsibilities associated with compliance to all pertinent regulations, policies, and procedures at federal, state, and local levels. The successful candidate will oversee quality control processes, documentation, troubleshoot QA/QC challenges, and assist compliance agencies through internal audits across Cotton Logistics and Culinary job sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute internal audits for various projects, company facilities, and assets.
  • Identify and address discrepancies found during internal audits.
  • Create and implement onsite training programs to alleviate compliance issues.
  • Develop, maintain, and revise all documentation, manuals, and training procedures across multiple locations.
  • Provide insights regarding job sites to assess, evaluate, and manage hazards.
  • Conduct site walkthroughs with clients, governmental bodies, contractors, and other operational stakeholders.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate quality control methodologies.
  • Document and report any quality-related concerns.
  • Engage with operations teams regarding quality issues.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional QA team to resolve quality challenges.
  • Be available during designated on-call periods to address urgent quality matters that may arise outside of standard working hours.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in General Sciences (Food Nutrition, Animal Science, Food Engineering, Quality Management, Environmental Science, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a quality assurance or similar role.
  • Food manager certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards including HACCP, FDA, USDA, and CDC guidelines.
  • Prior HACCP Certification is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 80-85%, potentially on a rotational basis, including weekends.
  • 1-2 years of experience in auditing or compliance management.
  • Proven ability in data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
  • Certifications related to Quality Assurance or Quality Control are advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant Microsoft Office applications for data analysis, documentation, and reporting (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Able to manage multiple concepts and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards.
  • Demonstrated professional integrity and a positive work attitude.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to adhere to protocols and perform under pressure.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Capacity to remain composed and make informed decisions during critical situations.
