Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Nitelines USA, Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong foundation in nuclear medicine technology and excellent patient care skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of diagnostic imaging procedures using nuclear medicine equipment, including positron emission tomography (PET) and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) scans.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and position them for imaging procedures.
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including PET and SPECT scanners, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and communication, including explaining procedures and results to patients and their families.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in nuclear medicine technology and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved nuclear medicine technology training program.
  • Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • Minimum of five years of proven clinical experience in nuclear medicine in a level 1 hospital setting.
  • Current certification in CPR or BLS and ACLS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
