RN - Vent Unit 36 Hour Nights New Grad Residency

As a Registered Nurse on our Ventilation Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients requiring mechanical ventilation. You will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans of care, ensuring patient-centered outcomes. This role is ideal for new graduates who are eager to develop their clinical skills and expertise in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and accurate nursing assessments, identifying patient needs and developing plans of care that reflect these needs.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement evidence-based practices, ensuring seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring, while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.
Education and Experience
Required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
Required
- Current license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Required
- Effective verbal, electronic, and written communication skills using the English language.
- Computer proficiency required, with experience in electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
- Maintain a variable work schedule to meet department needs, including evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
