Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at West Tennessee Healthcare. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our hospital complex, its equipment, grounds, and all persons on the premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and patrol the hospital premises to prevent security, safety, fire, and disaster-related incidents.
  • Provide assistance to motorists and visitors, and be generally helpful to anyone needing assistance.
  • Identify and report safety and security violations or unusual situations, and investigate incidents as needed.
  • Prepare accurate and complete reports of activities and investigations.
  • Initiate and maintain traffic and crowd control during disasters or emergencies.
  • Conduct random package checks to prevent theft of hospital property.
  • Monitor CCTV systems to prevent personal harm or property loss.
  • Transport hospital employees and others from parking areas to various locations on hospital property.
  • Perform related responsibilities as required or directed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR certification.
  • Valid Tennessee State Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of security procedures, hospital layout, investigative guidelines, record keeping guidelines, and job duties.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of CCTV system monitoring.
  • Ability to assist in the proper use of Medical Safety Devices and interact with disturbed, disoriented, disorderly, intoxicated, and violent persons.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position that requires working varied shifts, including evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to respond to emergency situations as needed.
