The Golf Course Grounds Maintenance Specialist is responsible for upholding the exceptional quality of the golf course landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate light motorized equipment specific to golf course maintenance.
- Utilize greens mowers for optimal turf care.
- Manage triplex mowers for tees and approaches.
- Maintain edges of cart paths and bunkers for aesthetic appeal.
- Perform mowing duties for fairways, greens, tees, and approaches.
- Handle weed eaters for precise trimming.
- Conduct tree and bunker trimming as necessary.
- Change hole cups to ensure playability.
- Utilize bunker grooming machinery for sand maintenance.
- Employ string trimmers, blowers, and various hand tools for detailed upkeep.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, using hands for various tasks, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting weights ranging from 25 to over 100 pounds.
- Execute additional tasks as directed by the Superintendent.
Qualifications
- Proficient in the safe operation of trucks, tractors, and other related equipment.
- Familiarity with maintenance tools and ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Commitment to standard safety protocols, including the use of protective gear.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience or training is preferred.
- Capability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals, along with the ability to compose routine reports.
