Job Summary

Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Primary Care Float Pool team in the New York Area. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our physicians and physician assistants.

Responsibilities
  • Pre-Exam Preparation: Prepare patients for medical exams by gathering necessary materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Patient History and Data Collection: Obtain patients' medical histories, vital signs, and other essential data to inform medical decisions.
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide hands-on patient care, including vaccinations, medications, wound care, and suture removal.
  • Specimen Collection and Analysis: Collect, prepare, and analyze patient specimens as directed by physicians or physician assistants.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on preventive care, medication management, and test preparation.
  • Follow-up and Communication: Contact patients by phone to provide test results, relay physician instructions, and offer support.
Requirements
  • RN License in the state of Connecticut
  • 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of insurance contracts and requirements
  • 3 years of minimum experience
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek. The successful candidate will be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
