Job Title: Instrumentation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at On-Board Companies. As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing instrumentation and control systems for chemical processing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and specify instrumentation and control systems for chemical processing facilities
  • Develop and implement electrical and instrumentation designs for process control systems
  • Conduct reviews of project packages to ensure quality procedures are followed
  • Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers
  • Consult on design, specification, selection, and services relating to instrumentation and control systems
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of applicable electrical & instrumentation design experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
  • PE license preferred
  • Experience in P&I diagrams, loop sheets, logics, and control schematics
  • Working knowledge of the NEC and IBC Codes
  • Experience utilizing vendor equipment specifications and reading vendor manuals to implement control solutions in an industrial setting
  • Experience with CAD systems, MicroStation is a plus
  • Experience working with and mentoring designers/team members
  • Experience in communicating job packages/projects with construction and plant personnel
  • Experience in developing scopes of work, task analysis, material list and project schedules
