Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Food Delivery Specialist to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Logistics and Safety: Perform all required safety checks, including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and ensure they meet company safety standards.
  • Delivery and Unloading: Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule, unload products from the trailer, and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Complete all necessary paperwork, including daily records of hours of service, and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance: Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
Requirements
  • CDL-A License: Possess a valid CDL-A license and meet all DOT regulations.
  • Safe Driving Record: Maintain a safe driving record and adhere to company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
