Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Molecular Diagnostics Technologist to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical laboratory tests, including molecular diagnostics, to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform molecular diagnostics tests, including PCR-based testing and sequencing methods, to identify genetic disorders and diseases.
  • Isolate and analyze DNA and RNA from human tissues to support diagnostic testing.
  • Develop and implement new laboratory procedures and protocols to improve test accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.
  • One year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, performing molecular diagnostics tests.
  • Strong knowledge of molecular biology and laboratory techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Molecular Biology (MB) ASCP certification.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment, with exposure to toxins and infectious agents. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
