Job Title: Department Manager

At Buchheit Inc, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to join our team. As a key member of our retail store management team, you will be responsible for driving company objectives in profit and loss control, sales performance, customer satisfaction, and shrink results.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drive Sales and Profitability: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability in your assigned area.
  2. Ensure Planogram Execution: Ensure that all planograms are executed accurately and efficiently.
  3. Merchandise Management: Ensure that all merchandise is properly priced, displayed, and stocked according to inventory levels.
  4. Staff Supervision and Development: Supervise, train, and develop staff in all functions required to run your assigned area.
  5. Customer Service: Ensure that all employees provide outstanding customer service to satisfy customer needs.
  6. Policies and Procedures: Be familiar with and enforce all policies and procedures.
  7. Area Management: Oversee assigned area through effective delegation and management of work, employees, time, and resources.
  8. Product Knowledge: Maintain working knowledge of products and services.
  9. Safety Awareness: Maintain safety awareness of anything in the store that may be a hazard to employees or customers.
  10. Customer Complaints: Promptly handle any customer complaints, questions, or concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  1. Experience: 3-4 years of retail experience.
  2. Management Experience: Retail management experience is preferred.
  3. Flexibility: Flexibility to work any open store hours.
  4. Communication and Leadership Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills.
  5. Motivation and Customer Service Skills: Highly motivated leader capable of motivating others to achieve company goals and excellent customer service skills.
  6. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
  7. Organization and Detail-Oriented: Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  8. Multi-Tasking and Problem-Solving: Ability to multi-task, coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner.
Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
