Job Summary

The Associate Portfolio Manager plays a crucial role in the financial services industry, working closely with clients to provide expert investment advice and guidance. This position requires a strong understanding of financial markets, economic trends, and investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure seamless loan origination, closing, and funding processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of key Commercial Banking metrics, including originations, portfolio balances, and fees.
  • Prepare customer portfolio and other miscellaneous reports as needed, ensuring timely completion.
  • Monitor and analyze Commercial Banking Portfolio performance, including past due, payment processing, and interest rate repricing.
  • Act as liaison between Commercial Banking and internal support departments, agent banks, and clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of client presentations, waivers, amendments, and visitation memos.
  • Conduct credit reviews and maintain accurate logs.
  • Assist during internal and external audits.
  • Develop working knowledge of Credit Analysis and assist the Commercial Banking team as needed.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in accordance with FirstBank Florida's excellent service policy.
  • Implement operational policies and ensure compliance with federal, state, and bank requirements.
  • Monitor bank-wide policies regarding Commercial Banking and related matters.
  • Work with closing, risk, servicing, and other departments on inquiries, including KYC, tickler reports, and pending items lists.
  • Maintain and update the Commercial Banking database, including lender sites and internal OnBase Credit Files.
  • Promote cross-selling of FirstBank Florida services and products.
Requirements
  • Good mathematical and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of financial institution branch operational functions, products, and services.
  • Effective human relations and communication skills.
  • Ability to use office equipment, such as computers, calculators, copiers, and fax machines.
  • Able to sit for long periods and talk and hear.
Work Environment

Employees in this role work in an office environment with comfortable room temperature, good lighting, and quiet conditions. They may be required to work extended hours, including holidays, during peak times.
