Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Plan and review logistics processes to ensure they meet company standards and customer service specifications.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to optimize shift/team logistics.
  • Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct regular meetings with team members to discuss progress, provide coaching and feedback, and recognize individual and team achievements.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes diversity and inclusion.
  • Perform performance evaluations and recommend performance awards and/or merit increases as appropriate.
  • Address performance issues through corrective action and disciplinary processes.
  • Ensure compliance with labor agreements and maintain positive labor relations with all employees.
  • Implement and maintain health and safety initiatives, practices, and behaviors, and adhere to company rules and policies.
  • Provide orientation and training to new employees and Lead Hands to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year or more experience in transportation, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred.
  • Direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
