Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Novant Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and delivering high-quality imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and operating MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
  • Operate and maintain MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved radiography program or MR program required.
  • Minimum one year of experience in MRI preferred.
  • NH Medical Center-certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within six months of hire required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility-certified and registered within six months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR) required.
  • Hospital Outpatient Department-certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) required.
  • IV credentialed required.
  • Applicable state license required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment.
  • Analytical ability and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to their age-specific needs.
  • Good communication skills.
