Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Novant Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Operate MRI equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient procedures, images, and results, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest MRI technology and techniques.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program required.
  • Minimum one year of experience in MRI preferred.
  • NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within 6 months of hire required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - Certified and Registered within 6 Months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR) required.
  • Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) required.
  • IV Credentialed required.
  • Applicable state license required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment.
  • Analytical ability and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to their age-specific needs.
  • Good communication skills.
