Job Title: Automotive Service Technician

Knudtsen Chevrolet is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicle components in accordance with factory and dealership specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle components efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required.
  • Communicate with service advisors to ensure accurate and timely completion of repairs.
  • Connect with the parts department to obtain necessary parts and report status to service advisors.
  • Use approved repair techniques and materials to service vehicles to pre-concern condition.
  • Ensure the appearance of customers' vehicles is maintained or improved.
  • Report machinery defects or malfunctions and maintain all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years' experience working as a GM Technician.
  • Previous experience as a general electrical, transmission, and/or diesel technician is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and stand, sit, bend, and twist for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles.
  • Pass a motor vehicle report and possess a safe driving record.
  • Pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Physical Demands and Working Environment:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work standing up, walk, use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment, and speak and listen to customers and fellow employees.

Team Members regularly work 45-50 hours per week. The team is exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
