Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and fast-learning Yard Assistant to join our team at Bay Area Temporary Sanitation Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Logistics and Inventory Management: Plan, coordinate, and monitor the receipt, order assembly, and dispatch of goods within the night shift.
  • Warehouse Operations: Ensure efficient utilization of space and mechanical handling equipment, meeting quality, budgetary, and environmental objectives.
  • Stock Control and Accuracy: Maintain up-to-date stock control systems and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Team Management: Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.

Requirements:

  • Valid CA Driver's License and clear driving history
  • Strong verbal, writing, and math skills
  • High school graduate
  • Traffic Control, rental yard, or constructions knowledge
  • Excellent multi-tasking ability and time management skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk/stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to safely follow instructions and communicate efficiently
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends
