Key Responsibilities

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. Working collaboratively with medical teams, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative care, advocating for patients to ensure an exceptional healthcare experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes.
  • Executing medical procedures as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Accurately documenting care provided in patient medical records.
  • Administering prescribed medications and monitoring patient responses.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to cardiac and medical-surgical care.
Qualifications
  • A diploma or Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing program is required.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or current enrollment in a BSN program is preferred.
  • A valid Registered Nurse License issued by the Department of Health Professions, Commonwealth of Virginia, or a multi-state privilege license is required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within one year of employment.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time night shifts (12-hour shifts) with rotating weekends.
